Experiments with deconstruction of a space using sound. Made for Panorama, a student group exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.
Three spaces are put together, each using three components. You hear them one by one first. Then they are stacked on top of each other. Suddenly, you’re in a laundromat – or on the beach. Now the thing is pulled apart again. The components are removed one by one. Bye laundromat.
The experiments come from the idea that reality is not one cohesive thing but a collection of components. What you see as one space is really a whole bunch of individual things with their own histories coming together to create a single moment.
